Taking his skillset and over 16 years’ experience working in the trade, Paddy established his own business with the goal of delivering high-end quality products and service. The service and products custom made at Cannon Metal Fabrication have an exciting purpose, whether it be to make our clients experience going hunting, camping and fishing a simpler process, whether for storing and holding specialty equipment as well as for the work Ute and on construction sites. Cannon Metal Fabrication work with many commercial contractors, builders, and electricians that benefit having a custom Ute tray that can hold a heavier load and house tools safely and securely, as well as protecting everything from the harsh elements of Far North Queensland.

Paddy oversees the teams’ projects at Cannon Metal Fabrication, liaises with customers and is also on the tools himself as a hands-on Director. You’ll see Paddy onsite when erecting structural steel projects for large commercial construction tenders, based on the experience, tickets and licenses he holds. Paddy and his team love the variety they have in their projects and being able to produce quality work for our customers and repeat clients.

Ranging from heavy fabrications, mine work for several years at a variety of different mine sites based on the level of expertise and qualifications Hayden brings to any role. Hayden is also incredibly experienced in structural and marine, heavy aluminium and steel fabrication through to lighter sheet metal projects.

Hayden as the workshop manager, overseas the team and projects underway. Hayden is capable at drafting, operates the CNC router and everything in between to ensure an efficiently run workshop with good team morale. Clients and management consult with Hayden quite heavily for input on all aspects of project scopes. Hayden’s fabrication knowledge and experience is utilised heavily at Cannon Metal Fabrication. “In summary we would be lost without him”, says the team!

Hayden has an interest in fishing, hunting, and camping, synonymous to the Far North Queensland lifestyle and having over 17 years’ experience working on aluminium trays and fabrication enables Hayden to offer his expertise to his clients that are willing to upgrade their rigg to enjoy the finer things in life. Hayden says he really enjoys having a good bunch of blokes to work with and makes Cannon Metal Fabrication an excellent work environment.

Jason joined the team at Cannon Metal Fabrication in 2019 with all his aluminium fabrication experience received from the team. Jason mainly fabricates Ute bodies, canopies and plastic fabrication for commercial use.

Every project in fabrication is challenging, a skillset that the Cannon Metal Fabrication team manages very well and constantly delivers high-end quality. Jason enjoys learning new skills, maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.

Luke is our experienced Fabricator Tradesman and holds a dual trade in both Sheetmetal Fabrication and Boilermaking, which is an asset to the Cannon Metal Fabrication team. With experience as a fully qualified sheetmetal fabricator by 2016, Luke was previously located in the mines for four years as a boilermaker before commencing his tenure with Cannon Metal Fabrication in 2021.

Maintaining a high level of quality in every aspect of a project and seeing it come to fruition is a highlight for Luke in his role, finding it a rewarding result with happy clients. Cannon Metal Fabrication offers such a vast variety of services and products, it keeps all our projects interesting and having a great work crew makes it a great working environment.

Kaleb is our very experienced and hands on fabricator, with a certification in engineering and boiler making, Kaleb brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Cannon Metal Fabrication team. Holding a slew of tickets enables Kaleb to work from heights on elevated platforms and act as a Dogman on building and construction sites.

Cannon Metal Fabrication and Rigging Services is a specialist in correctly slinging and directing loads handled by cranes. Clients that require structural steel elevation coupled with aluminium fabrication and welding, will have the peace of mind knowing, Kaleb, our capable team member will be onsite for projects of this size.

Liam is currently our 2nd year Apprentice Fabricator as of 2024, but don’t let his 2nd year apprenticeship sway you, as Liam holds two previous Certifications in Engineering and Automotive, and holds multiple tickets in Dogging, Rigging, Working at Heights and Elevated Platforms.

Taking his role incredibly seriously, Liam loves the beauty of seeing a customised project come to life and delivering for happy clients. Growing in experience erecting structural steel and rigging, and is a very hands-on aluminium fabricator. Liam loves the variety in his role as he continues to complete his Certificate III in Fabrication and overcoming challenges daily, but working with a great crew makes it a very enjoyable career.
